Since 2014, Chill in the City has celebrated the most authentic aspects of breakdance, its raw energy, intense battles, and a deep foundation in hip hop culture. Conceived like a big jam dominated by an underground spirit, the event has grown while staying true to its ethos. For its 11th anniversary, it reaches another milestone as Chaillot hosts its grand finale for the first time. A significant achievement. Long pushed to the sidelines, breaking now makes it on to the most prestigious stages of the performing arts. Two days that will get Paris rocking: On December 6, qualifications at La Place. On December 7, the Top 16 and never-before-seen performances in Chaillot’s gilt-edged decor. Behind this growing success are Breakleague and La Place, two devoted masterminds of hip hop culture whose purpose is to raise the profile of breaking without glossing over its essence. Preserving the soul of battles while propelling the art form to the future.

Breakleague is a nonprofit association created to promote and showcase hip-hop culture through inclusive and accessible events.
The members of La Breakleague – Édouard Villette, Youval Ifergane, Anna Czerny, Clément Carrere, Bénédicte Chiazzo, David Eliezer, and Pierre Dirat – are iconic figures in the breakdance scene.
