Ayelen Parolin / RUDA
SIMPLE
Three performers embark on an exciting and hilarious exercise in the construction-deconstruction of contemporary dance.
Ayelen Parolin, who has already made a name for herself on the Chaillot stage, returns with SIMPLE, a devised piece without music. But not without rhythm: the bodies themselves will seek out this vital pulse. Movement becomes the motor of this asserted simplicity, close to childhood. Ayelen Parolin, with this trio, has in mind "a dance that is both full of friction, inappropriate crossbreeding, incessant hacking, and of a harmless, detached lightness". The choreographic utopia claimed by the artist runs through each of her creations, from her first solo, 25.06.76, to WEG, very recently. SIMPLE imposes its rhythm, "where everything is (still) possible, from the senseless to the dreamlike". In its own way, this invitation to share the dance reconnects with the innate gesture. Ayelen Parolin once again puts the imagination in power.
