Nadia Vadori-Gauthier
Mémoires partagées des 3000 derniers jours
Since the 2015 attacks, Nadia Vadori-Gauthier has been producing and posting online one minute of dance per day, a daily choreographic gesture as an act of poetic resistance. For the past eight years, every single day, without exception, has been danced. Here she proposes a performance based on the public's crossed memories of her three thousand minutes of recorded dance.
When she launched Une minute de danse par jour (one minute of dance each day) on 14 January 2015, Nadia Vadori-Gauthier offered a "daily act of poetic resistance" in response to the murderous violence. Since then, the choreographer and researcher has never ceased to enchant everyday life, marked now by tragedy, now by joy. She keeps a kinesthetic memory of each of these dances. Mémoires partagées des 3 000 derniers jours (Shared memories of the last 3000 days) is therefore a palimpsest in the form of a performance (or the opposite). Each person can choose a significant date in their life since 14 January 2015, and explain their choice. A draw will decide the course of the evening. The photo of the dance of the day in question is projected directly onto the stage. Then Nadia Vadori-Gauthier dances her memory of that day intertwining with the memory of the spectator, recreating a memory from shared memories. Like a living-together subtly embodied before our eyes.
