With a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, Les Îlots de Chaillots features creative and art-oriented cuisine, which develops like a show comes together, step by step, attuned to the energy and surprises of the day.
Véronique Dossetto, an actress with an unconventional background, and Olivier Dufour, a renowned French chef with humanistic and aesthetic inclinations, offer audience members cuisine crafted from a range of fresh and organic products. These two enthusiasts are committed to and driven by strong and eco-friendly values, resorting to systematic recycling and training young apprentices in partnership with the association Aurore.
The theater’s bar and restaurant are open during lunch hours and on performance nights. On weekends, Les Îlots de Chaillot invites you for a brunch.

The magnificent brunch of Les Îlots de Chaillot
I chanced upon an absolutely amazing place and I’m thrilled to share this gem with you. Imagine an awesome location, looking out on the Eiffel Tower, entirely homemade food, and to top it all off, an innovative concept and unbeatable quality and prices. You think there’s no place that can meet all those criteria? Well, Les Îlots de Chaillot, the brand-new restaurant of the national dance theater, rises to the challenge.
The brunch is unforgettable.
The restaurant is located on the Trocadéro square, in the stupendous hall of the grand lobby at Théâtre de Chaillot, and offers a matchless view of the Eiffel Tower. Can you picture that? I was totally blown away by this place.
The kitchen is run by chef Olivier Dufour, one of France’s foremost chefs, and comprises a team of apprentices from the association Aurore which aims to help those in distress. I loved the passionate and humane side of the chef, who is overflowing with ideas for the future of the restaurant.
In fact, he explained to us that he would drop the menu eventually and instead offer 4 cuisine islets with various concepts: a raw vegetable islet, a cocktail islet, a verrine and siphon islet and a dessert islet. To achieve that, fully adjustable sets of kitchen furniture were custom made to create cozy nooks where customers can watch the cooks and get together for a chat. This would reduce the monumental vibe of the place and bring in a little more warmth. A surprising but very cool idea! The chef also intends to curate ephemeral events such as comedy standups, dance or guided tours of the theater, which would attract more visitors and mix things up. I can’t wait to see when the project is finished as it will surely be amazing.
Finally, I must talk about the impeccable service and the super sweet team. An absolute treat all around.
What’s on the menu?
We tried the brunch menu, which has a very comprehensive formule (set menu) for 29 euros including:
Coffee and organic apple juice
Breakfast pastries and homemade breads
Burrata salad, olive cakes
Duck breasts and roasted sweet potatoes
Pana cotta with coco milk and pistachios
Chocolate sponge cake
For the record, everything is homemade, from the table bread to the chocolates served with coffee (I swear, they even make the chocolates!). The dishes are simple but perfectly executed with excellent products, and it was delicious from start to finish. I could eat that smoky-tasting sweet potato salad every day. Not to mention that it all takes place right in front of the Eiffel Tower. Sorry for sounding like a broken record but this was heaven to me! In a nutshell, this is an innovative, magnificent and absolutely breathtaking restaurant.
