Festival nordique

This Festival nordique initiated by Chaillot looks like a choreographic constellation aligning artists and countries like stars. That is, the lineup includes short and large ensembles, high-profile and budding creators alike. Coming from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland, these dancers and choreographers represent a burgeoning and up and coming scene, yet unfamiliar to many so far despite its solid roots. More importantly, these shows might very well undermine some misconceptions as these Europeans, in their own way,  bring the question of social harmony onstage. Ten performance nights will barely be sufficient to cover this dance “continent”. Let’s head north then.
