Created in 1969 and headed by the Spanish-born choreographer Rafael Bonachela since 2009, the Sydney Dance Company presents three pieces that glow in the dark or in the light of the full moon.

The Sydney dance Company  has gone around the world but is little known in France. With an unequivocally contemporary repertoire, it brings together three pieces, one of which, Lux Tenebris, is by artistic director Rafael Bonachela. In tight collaboration with composer Nick Wales, who melds pop and electronic musics with more classical forms, the choreographer focuses on the physical and emotional impact of light or darkness on human beings. In Wildbeest, Australian choreographer Gabrielle Nankivell “takes on” gnus, those strange animals that are a cross between the horse and the antelope. She leads the sixteen dancers of the company into a vigorous dance conveying the power of the individual and the collective.  In Full Moon, Taiwan-based Cloud Gate 2 artistic director Cheng Tsung-lung looks over at the moon to capture its mysterious beauty and its influence on man. Embrace clarity and your animal instinct to regain confidence.
