Rock, love and selfie? People dance and shoot their sensual ego trip live to Velvet Underground songs. Returning to Chaillot after Running Sushi in 2010, the phenomenal Chris Haring puts on a psychedelic show.

Femmes fatales and young men mingle and expose themselves. They construct their ideal avatar using cameras and projectors. Their pauses, skins, tongues and microscoped membranes appear in diffracted and overlapping shadows and silhouettes. Theirs is the dance of the natural language of the body – suspended, jerky and magnified by desire and rapture. Lascivious but never obscene. The lush playbacks over the Velvet Underground melancholy tunes look back to the past and sidestep the present. After collaborating with DV8/Physical Theatre and Nikolais/ Louis Dance, the Austrian Chris Haring harnesses dance and new media to explore the marginal, transformed and fantasized body. Inspired by 60s-era screen-tests -  silent films directed by Warhol with anonymous and famous people - False Colored Eyes is one of many explosive performance shows called Imploding Portraits Inevitable. Subversive back then, what does this self overexposure now epitomize?  An immersive show in sensory and mind-blowing images.
