Exquises (exquisite), a foodie’s duet by definition, is aptly named: it is as exquisite as choreographer-performer Annabelle Bonnéry, a dancer who has worked with Jean-Claude Gallotta, Rui Horta or Maguy Marin. Equally exquisite is video-artist and gallery owner François Deneulin, co-founder of the company Lanabel. This taste bud-tantalizing project invites spectators to a choreographic banquet where taste and dance are in harmony. Each dance movement by Annabelle Bonnéry and Célia Gondol matches with a sweet or savory flavor concocted by chef Thierry Moyne (from Jura) and set to music by Marie-Pascale Bertrand. Around a stage-table, the dancers in the center, the guests all around, Exquises breaks down the “dinner” into corresponding choreographic phrases that stir up our senses. The connection between the guests and the hostesses remains undetected. Exquises is an experience that satisfies mind and appetite. Savor this creation unsparingly!
