A New Landscape is the new show by the Travelling & Co company, choreographed by Hervé Robbe and assisted by Catherine Legrand. It dives into the history of dance while looking ahead to the future.

“Memories (or oblivion)” is a collaborative project conducted over three years, a bouncing journey backward, delving into a choreographic memory that comes in the form of a publication, an audiovisual object, and here, a new show. For Herbé Robbe, A New Landscape is “a dance that fully embraces its past, evolves out of an echo and memory chamber, and gives way to another collective ritual.” By preserving memory, particularly body memory, he also comes to terms with oblivion. This piece for ten dancers allows for a subjective interpretation of the sources in order to enable new arrangements or formations, and a new generation. “Looking back at thirty years of creation, I remember and I forget because I need to be and become”, the choreographer notes.
